Julia Herbstleb, MD, studied human medicine at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin. During this time, she also worked in London (North Middlesex Hospital) and Malta (Mater Dei University Hospital) as part of her clinical training.
After her studies, she first worked as an assistant doctor in internal medicine for one year. She then worked as part of her specialist training in gynaecology and obstetrics, most recently at the Vivantes Auguste Viktoria Hospital in Berlin.
Since 2016, she has been undergoing regular further training in ultrasound diagnostics for gynaecology and obstetrics.
Dr Herbstleb discovered her interest in gynaecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine through the scientific and clinical examination of the clinical picture of endometriosis and the possible effects on the fertility of affected women.
Since 2020, Dr Herbstleb has been working as a training assistant at the Kinderwunsch- und Endometriosezentrum – Kinderwunschteam Berlin – under the direction of Gülden Halis, MD.
